  23. To predict the winners of football games, you must rank the
  24. opposing teams.  Many elements may be taken into account, but only
  25. two things really matter: (1) a team's win/loss record which
  26. depends upon (2) the number of points scored by and against that
  27. team. USING ONLY SCORES, NFL Forecaster assigns each NFL team
  28. rankings, and uses them to predict winners and point spreads.  It
  29. only takes 10 minutes a week to enter the scores and obtain
  30. forecasts!

  32. Over the last 12 seasons, Forecaster declared only 10% of all
  33. games too close to call (even).  It attempts to make a forecast
  34. for every game, not just "5-star specials" or "this week's picks."
  35. Of the 2,412 games it pedicted winners for, it was correct 62.5%
  36. of the time and it correctly predicted the spread 58.7% of the
  37. times. Over the last 5 years it has correctly predicted the winner
  38. 63.2% of the time and the spreads 59.7% of the time.

  40. You are guided step-by-step through the process of entering
  41. scores, forecasting spreads, saving data, viewing rankings and
  42. printing reports.  Forecaster is highly configurable and you can:
  43. open 6 different view windows; print 5 reports; print or view the
  44. NFL schedule; sort the rankings 8 ways; use team or city names.
  45. There are functions for non-scheduled and playoff games.

  48. programs, status line hints and context-sensitive on-line help.

  51. of running Microsoft Windows 3.0 or later with 760K free disk
  52. space.  NFL Forecaster for DOS requires DOS 3.0 or later, 384K RAM

  56. 95, although it is not a 32-bit program.  A Windows 95 version of

  63. Word processing programs do not let you take full advantage of the
  64. capabilities of TrueType fonts.  Using TextStyle, you can create
  65. many eye-catching effects: 3-D and floating text; text as waves,
  66. spirals, arcs, wheels, spokes, and geometric shapes.  Text can be
  67. displayed down the screen with the characters right-side-up.
  68. Characters and shadows can be tapered so that they become larger
  69. or smaller along the line of text.  TextStyle also has a complete
  70. set of drawing tools.

  72. The text can be printed, saved to disk or copied to the clipboard
  73. and pasted into thousands of other programs (word processing,
  74. spreadsheet, drawing, desktop publishing) as a bitmap.

  91. Double directory displays 2 disk directories side-by-side.  Either
  92. can be the source or destination for copying, moving, renaming,
  93. deleting, viewing and printing files. It can compare 2 directories
  94. and tag the differences.  Both directories can be scrolled
  95. simultansously. There are also functions for changing the
  96. attributes of files and sorting, making, masking and removing
  97. directories.  Individual files and entire directories can be
  98. tagged for moving, deleting, etc.  You can shell to DOS, shell and
  99. run a program, and shell and run a program with Double Directory
  100. removed from memory.  Double Directory's point-and-shoot interface
  101. makes it easy to tag files and navigate subdirectories. The
  102. display colors can be changed and several other options can be
  103. configures.  With an EGA or VGA more files can be displayed in the
  104. 43- and 50-row modes.  Dohble Directory is fast and easy to use:
  105. the commands are mnemonic and can be accessed via menus, function
  106. keys or hot keys.  It has context-sensitive help.  The manual is
  107. comprehensive with a complete index.  Double Directory requires
  108. DOS 2.0 or later (3.0 recommended), one disk drive and 272K RAM.

  117. Although movies are often based on original screenplays, many are
  118. adapted from literary works: novels, plays, short stories and even
  119. poems. Have You Read That Movie? is a multiple-choice test (368
  120. questions) of your knowledge of movies and literature. There are
  121. three levels of difficulty and three modes of play: single player,
  122. two players alternate, and two players compete. Each correct
  123. answer is accompanied by some interesting fact(s) about the movie
  124. or the literary work.  It requires 256K RAM, DOS 2.0 or later and
  125. a CGA, EGA, VGA, Hercules, MDA, MCGA display adapter (color or
  126. monochrome).  There is on-line help and the program is
  127. configurable.  It works with or without a mouse.

  129. New DOS and Windows versions of Have You Read That Movie? will be
  130. released sometime in 1996.  These versions will include about 1000
  131. questions and will allow complete access to a database of over
  132. 1200-1500 films, directors, authors and so on.  All registered
  133. owners of the current version of Have You Read That Movie? will be
  134. notified of the new version and will be eligible for an
